Can I use regular oil in my lawnmower or is there a special oil that has to be used?

Most small engines two to three horse power are 30w .30w can be purchased any where you get any oil such as Walmart,Kmart and so on . It some times changes at five horse or below 2 horse . Unlikely to be a two stroke engine then you would need to but oil in the gas .
