My ball python escaped, and we've looked every where!!!?

I have a small ball python, only about a foot and a half long. I came home from shol today and it's cage was empty! Its cage was on top of my bookshelf, so it was pretty high up, and i'm hoping it is not hurt. I got a mouse for it just before I got home, so it is probably hungry. Me and my mom looked everywhere, in dark places, warm places, small places, and all the places in between, and we just cant find him! I can't do the flour trick, where u put flour along the doorways, because that is to messy. I've put out the mouse in a container for him, and I've put out his cage, heating pad, and water bowl. Do you have any more suggestions on how to find him?
