Help, Screaming Bird....more than normal!?

I have a blue front amazon that is getting close to losing her happy home. I have had birds most of my adult life and do know that screaming comes with the territory, however...my birds screaming is way past in excess. I need some advice on how I could deal with this problem in stead of finding her a happy new home. some things about her. She is in full flight and would rather not be in her cage, she does NOT talk..ever, she is very much attached to me and litterally will lunge at my husband if he trys to show me any affection. She really does have a good disposition, but has more fears than normal. I adopted her from a pet store after her initial owner ped away 5 years ago. It has taken at least 4 years for her to even get close to trusting me enough to scratch her head. HELP me if you can..the excessive screaming is the absolute worst thing I am dealing with.
