Why do we blow on cold things???

The other day, my friend came over, we were eating some home-made frozen yoghurt (made with rhubarb, cranberries, strawberries and a hint of cinamon, if anyone's interested!), and he kept involuntarily blowing on his spoonfuls of frozen yog!! When we realised we were in stitches about it, but isn't it funny that we do these things subconsciously. Has anyone else noticed such crazy but cute and funny behaviour or habits in people - please don't post any stories too revolting, I'm trying to eat my lunch :DDD
