My 1997 Mazda MPV 3.0 AWD is drowning while I'm driving can anyone help me? Could o2 sensors be the problem?

In the morning we turn on the van, we let it warm up an after we take off it hesitates to take off, it seems to drown an i have to repeatly hit the pedal harder. Can some one help me?
