Should I wear a hat?

Me and my buddies heckled each other into getting buzzcuts for summer and at the end of it all I'm not too thrilled to have it. Everybody is surprised about me getting it, but mostly or pretty much everyone likes my hair like this. Usually I wear punk-esque clothing so I consider myself weird looking with a buzzcut and punk clothing. So my friend told me to wear a cap. So I wear a cap, and now people think I'm into the whole hip hop scene, but I'm not. I know that every two weeks my hair should grow about a half an inch or more, so My hair won't be back to normal till sometime fall or winter. But I won't be able to have my punkish hair back till my next birthday in January.
