Not sure how to talk to the new kid?

When you go to lunch, tell your pals that you are going to introduce yourself to the new kid and welcome him to school and go sit where he is. Ask him about himself. Where he's from, siblings, hobbies. Stuff that he would be comfortable talking about. Tell him a few things about yourself and just be polite and friendly,which seems to be pretty natural for you. I'm impressed that one still in school would care about someone they don't know yet and have concerns about your fellow students. Nice.
