Weird housebreaking issue?

I had the same problem with my puppy. Dogs will not pee or poo where they sleep. If you have paper or a puppy training pad near their bed or kennel, they won't go on it. Try moving it into the laundry room temporarily or near the laundry room. Then, once he gets used to going on it, slowly start to move it to where you ultimately want it to be. Also, when you do catch him, take him over to it and say "NO" firmly, then show him where you want him to go. He'll get it, just be patient.
